Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation:
Scarify the seeds by gently rubbing them with sandpaper or soaking them in warm water for 24 hours to break the seed coat and improve germination.
Sowing:
Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in well-draining potting soil or seed starting mix.
Place the seeds in a warm, brightly lit location, but avoid direct sunlight.
Germination:
Germination typically takes 2-4 weeks.
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
Consider covering the seed trays with plastic wrap to retain moisture and create a greenhouse effect.
Transplanting:
Once seedlings have developed several sets of true leaves and are large enough to handle, transplant them into larger pots or directly into the garden.
Space plants 12-18 inches apart to allow for mature growth.
Choose a location with partial shade to protect the delicate foliage from intense sunlight.
Care and Maintenance:
Water regularly, especially during dry spells, but avoid overwatering, as Daphne prefers slightly dry conditions.
Mulch around the base of the plants to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove any dead or damaged branches.
Protect plants from cold winds and frost by covering them with burlap or a frost cloth during winter months.

Rare Daphne Flower Seeds

I received the seeds and they were in great condition. I planted the seeds in the beginning of March here in California zone 9b and the seeds already sprouted and are about an inch high. It looks like I got 100% germination too! So far I'm very happy with these seeds!
