Shelf Life: Best planted within 1 year for maximum germination
Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours to enhance germination.
Sowing: Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Use a seed-starting mix and sow seeds on the surface of the soil. Do not cover them completely as they need light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 70-75°F (21-24°C) and keep the soil consistently moist.
Germination: Seeds should germinate within 14-21 days. Provide plenty of light once seedlings emerge, using a grow light or placing them in a sunny window.
Transplanting: Once seedlings have developed a couple of sets of true leaves and the risk of frost has passed, harden them off by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week. Transplant seedlings into well-draining soil in a sunny location, spacing them 12-18 inches apart.
Care and Maintenance:
Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
Remove spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
