Shelf Life: Best planted within 1 year for maximum germination
Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation: No special preparation required.
Sowing: Start seeds indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost date, or sow directly outdoors after the danger of frost has passed. Sow seeds thinly on the surface of moist soil and lightly press them into the soil.
Germination: Keep the soil consistently moist until seeds germinate, typically within 7-14 days. Maintain a temperature of 65-70°F (18-21°C) for optimal germination.
Transplanting: Once seedlings are ready, transplant outdoors after the last frost date. Space plants 6-12 inches apart in well-drained soil.
Care and Maintenance:
Water oregano plants regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
Trim back plants regularly to encourage bushy growth and to harvest leaves for culinary use.
Oregano is low-maintenance but benefits from occasional pruning to maintain its shape and vigor.
