Sunlight: Choose a planting location with full sun, ideally with some light afternoon shade. Cucuzza seeds thrive in hot, humid conditions.
Soil: A slightly acidic soil pH between 5.5 and 6.8 is ideal. Use fertile, well-draining soil that is light, sandy, or loamy.
Watering: Water once a week in the absence of rain to keep the soil consistently moist. Ensure the soil doesn’t dry out, but avoid waterlogging.
Planting Time: Start seeds indoors in pots a few weeks before the last spring frost. Alternatively, sow seeds outdoors once the soil temperature reaches 70°F.
Planting Tips: Plant three to four seeds in mounds three feet apart if using supports, or four to six feet apart if not, to prevent overcrowding.
