Planting Instructions:

Seed Preparation:

Dahlia seeds do not require any special preparation. However, starting them indoors can give them a head start.

Sowing:

For indoor sowing: Start seeds 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost. Fill seed trays with a seed-starting mix, sow the seeds on the surface, and cover them lightly with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite.

For outdoor sowing: After the last frost, sow seeds directly into the garden soil. Space seeds about 12 inches apart and cover with 1/4 inch of soil.

Germination:
