Description
Stratification: Place the seeds in a sealed plastic bag with moist vermiculite or peat moss. Refrigerate for 4-6 weeks.
Sowing: After stratification, plant seeds in a pot or container with well-draining soil. Keep soil moist, but not waterlogged. Sow seeds about 1/4 inch deep and cover lightly with soil. Water gently to avoid moving the seeds.
Light: Position the container in a warm, bright area out of direct sunlight, maintaining a temperature of around 65-75°F.
Germination: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged, and be patient, as these seeds can take several weeks to germinate and establish.
Transplanting: Once seedlings emerge, thin them to allow room for growth. Transplant outdoors once large enough to handle, typically after 1-2 years.
