Mibuna Seeds are perfect for gardeners looking to grow nutrient-rich, easy-to-grow vegetables. Known for their tender leaves and mild, mustard-like flavor, Mibuna plants are versatile and can be used in a variety of culinary dishes. Reaching a mature height of 12 to 18 inches, these plants thrive in both full sun and partial shade, making them an excellent addition to any garden.
Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation:
Mibuna seeds do not require special preparation. They can be sown directly into the soil.
Sowing:
Sow seeds directly outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked, or start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last expected frost.
Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart in rows spaced 12-18 inches apart.
For a continuous harvest, sow seeds every 2-3 weeks.
Germination:
Keep the soil consistently moist during germination, which typically takes 7-14 days.
Optimal soil temperature for germination is between 50-75°F (10-24°C).
Transplanting:
If starting seeds indoors, transplant seedlings outdoors after they have 2-3 true leaves and the danger of frost has passed.
Space transplants 6-8 inches apart to allow room for growth.
Care and Maintenance:
Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods.
Thin seedlings to 6-8 inches apart if not transplanted, ensuring proper air circulation and room for growth.
Mulch around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Harvest leaves when they are young and tender, cutting them about 1 inch above the soil level to encourage regrowth.
Happy Gardening!
