Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation:
Soak the seeds in water for about 12 hours to enhance germination.
Sowing:
Sow seeds directly in the garden bed or container about 1/4 inch deep. Space seeds about 1 inch apart in rows that are 12-18 inches apart. For microgreens, sprinkle seeds densely on the surface of the soil.
Germination:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Seeds typically germinate within 5-10 days under ideal conditions.
Transplanting:
If started indoors, transplant seedlings when they have at least 2 true leaves. Space seedlings 4-6 inches apart to allow room for growth.
Care and Maintenance:
Water regularly to keep the soil moist, especially during dry spells. Thin seedlings to prevent overcrowding and ensure healthy growth. Mulch around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest leaves as needed for greens; roots are generally not consumed in this variety.
Happy gardening!
