Shelf Life : Best planted within 1 year for maximum germination
Planting Instructions
Seed Preparation:
Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to enhance germination.
Sowing:
Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost.
Use seed trays or pots filled with a seed-starting mix.
Sow seeds on the surface of the soil and lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite.
Germination:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
Maintain a temperature of 65-70°F (18-21°C) during germination.
Germination can take 21-30 days.
Transplanting:
Once seedlings have at least two sets of true leaves and the danger of frost has passed, harden them off by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions.
Transplant seedlings to a prepared garden bed, spacing them 12-18 inches apart.
Care and Maintenance:
Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry periods.
Mulch around the plants to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
Protect from slugs and snails, which can damage young plants.
