Shelf Life: Best planted within 1 year for maximum germination
Planting Instructions
Seed Preparation: Stratify seeds by placing them in a moist medium (like sand or peat) in the refrigerator for 60-90 days to simulate winter conditions.
Sowing: After stratification, sow seeds indoors in seed trays filled with well-draining seed starting mix. Lightly cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.
Germination: Maintain a temperature of 65-75°F (18-24°C). Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Germination typically takes 4-8 weeks.
Transplanting: Once seedlings have at least two sets of true leaves and are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots. Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting in the final location.
Care and Maintenance
Plant in full sun to partial shade.
Space plants 3-4 feet apart to allow for growth.
Water regularly, especially during dry periods.
Mulch around the base of the plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
